Business Development Representative

- Boston MA

Genuine is looking for a self-motivated, charismatic individual with experience selling technical solutions and/or marketing services to join our team. As an integral part of the business development team, the BDR will be leading outbound prospecting efforts as well supporting inbound new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Spend approximately 80% of time prospecting and generating leads via outbound communication.

  • Conduct background research on target accounts (general services/product offering, competitive analysis, employee connections, annual sales, etc.) and tailor outbound messaging accordingly.

  • Prioritize strategic target account lists in collaboration with business development lead.

  • Work with prospects to uncover opportunities and introduce the Genuine brand and service offerings.

  • Track prospect activity in CRM and present prospective opportunities to broader team in consistent and organized manner.


  • Respond to inbound inquiries, RFIs and RFPs.

  • Collaborate with different teams to construct proposals, estimates and presentations.

  • Support marketing with case studies and as needed with content generation to support sales.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years working in a sales role providing solutions/services in tech or marketing (previous experience in an agency environment a plus)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and extremely detail oriented

  • Ability to learn and absorb rapidly, ask relevant questions and identify opportunities

  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight and performing in a fast paced environment

  • MS Office knowledge including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor’s degree


Bonus Experience:

Experience working with inside sales CRM and email marketing, managing outbound campaigns and optimizing effectiveness
