As a recent college graduate, immersing myself in the world of SEO has had a definite learning curve. Familiarizing myself with it has been a gradual process and although I’ve yet to become the sage of SEO, I have learned a few important things along the way. Taking you through all the lessons I’ve learned since day one would be impossible, so I’d like to share 5 realizations I have had since the beginning of my SEO journey.
To kick off this holiday season Genuine’s volunteer committee, Genuine.Does.Good.Stuff. (GDGS), hosted two events to give back to our community. With Thanksgiving approaching, GDGS organized a food drive to benefit the efforts of the Greater Boston Food Bank. This well-known agency is the largest hunger relief organization in New England providing meals to 545,000 people in 2014.
As advertisers, we are always in search of new ways to reach potential customers on social. With the amount of activity across newsfeeds and timelines alike, it’s easy for a message to get lost in sea of social noise, so it is increasingly important to constantly leverage new features across social to develop unique content. Genuine is extremely proud to have been hand selected by our parent company, IPG, to creatively support their move into their new company headquarters at 909 Third Avenue in NYC. This move will see IPG corporate headquarters sharing an address with more than a dozen IPG agencies including Genuine (NYC), DeVries, FutureBrand, Golin, Jack Morton, Octagon, Rogers & Cowan and Weber Shandwick.
The Genuine UX team is committed to participating in the the vibrant Boston UX community so we didn’t dream of missing November’s UX meetup. Half our team visited the Google offices for November’s UX Boston meetup, brushing shoulders with the likes of Marli Mesibov of Mad*Pow, Caroline Roberts and Krista Siniscarco from Mullen, and Jonathan Abbett of ACT.md.

The terms motion graphics and animation are often used interchangeably, and sometimes that’s okay.
