Is "Blue Spa" canned cat food safe for urinary tract health?

Does anybody know if "blue spa" brand canned cat food is safe for a cat who has had a urinary infection in the past? The dry brand has it’s magnesium content listed and it’s a safe level, but the canned doesn’t indicate it’s magnesium content.
Also, I just learned about a recall around last year for their products. Should I be concerned about this?

Pretty much any canned food is going to be fine, so yes.

Just avoid any with fish.

  1. Yes, it is safe. I used to work for Blue. But in case anything has changed, you should go to http://www.bluebuffalo.com and use the contact form to ask a nutritionist to provide that information. They are a family owned company (yes, it’s a millionaire’s family, but at least it’s not a huge pharmaceutical conglomerate like Eukanuba or a toothpaste company like Science Diet!) and get back to people quickly.
