Two questions here, very sorry.
I’m going to Seoul from the 20th- 26th December.

1. I’d like to go to some kind of cheap-ish spa place and have a nice massage and facial, that kind of stuff. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’ve googled a few but I’d prefer something a little less commercial and a little more homely.

2. I’m going over Christmas so that I can escape the boring and lifeless Japanese Christmas. Is there anywhere like a restaurant that does a good Christmas dinner, or are there any special things happeneing over Christmas in Korea? I know that there is a stronger Christian influence over there so maybe there is a little more going on there.

1 There are spa type places everywhere here. No need to travel across the city for something like that. Just find one near you. Any Korean can point one out when you get here and know the area you will stay in.
#2. Lots of people would like to spend Christmas in Japan… I think your attitude comes from you being from there… Korea is very similar, but yes, some Christian influence. If you are coming and getting involved in a church, you will undoubtedly be invited to join their Christmas festivities which will probably include food. Korea, however, is not primarily a Christian country historically so doesn’t really have traditional Christmas food. It DOES have awesome food though and it’s available all year round so just enjoy it all!
