Not all oils are irritating you just need to be cautious of what oils you use, and only in very small amounts 1-2 drops max. You should seek advise from a professional aromatherapist if you want to make your own as some oils can be phototoxic and will cause discolouration of the skin if you go out in the sun with them on!

Am I the only one who thinks that essential oils -although they smell divine- are irritating to your skin, and therefor not suitable for a facial srub? .. just a thought
